Lem Lian

 Lem Lian (Meng Lian) is a multi-award-winning visual artist, illustrator,  and art instructor who is initially from China, now Canada (Nova Scotia) -based. 
Lem’s work is inspired by her life of peregrination and multiple attendant cultures. Her subject matter tends to be fragmented passages of the in-between spaces of transient, bittersweet episodes. Lem paints in a narrative poem language, aiming to diversify the cognizance of impermanence. Her art explores the connection between the ephemeral world and everything subliminal, forgotten, and repressed in an individual's life.

 

廉萌，生于中国，现居加拿大哈利法克斯，毕业于诺瓦艺术与设计大学。从事个人艺术创作、商业插画与艺术教育工作。作品在加拿大、德国、美国、日本、中国、比利时等国际大赛中多次获奖并举办展览。

她的作品融合了个人游历与随之而来的不同文化。她创作的主题是关于凝留那些苦乐参半而又转瞬即逝的人生碎片。她以叙事诗作为绘画语言来探索蜉蝣世界与个人情感意识的联系，旨在对无常的认知多样化。黑白与线的叙事是廉萌的插画风格，而她在综合颜料创作时善于运用明亮而复古的色调，每一幅画面都富有线索并充盈着文学性的色彩。
